Using a single, uniquely-designed component, children can construct life-sized structures — dens, forts, space-ships … — promoting motor skills, dexterity, spatial reasoning and problem-solving. At the same time, children enrich their listening, questioning, communication and team-working skills, as well as developing the emotional resilience to learn from mistakes – all of which are highly relevant to Key Stages 1 and 2. Overall, noook play is about learning-by-doing, and as children build imaginative structures, they build their self-confidence and self-esteem too.
