Born out of disruption.

Whilst Designer-in-Residence at London's Design Museum, Torsten was working on an installation exploring themes of disruption; his response was a new approach to the traditional and long-established construction toy category. Disrupting industry norms and breaking conventions, Torsten designed and developed what we now call noook play®.

During his six-month tenure as Designer-in-Residence at the Design Museum, over 150,000 visitors explored the installation and got hands-on with his hand-made prototypes. noook play® was born.

Environmental sustainability is central to our philosophy and we've spent years developing & refining noook play® to offer the best play experience without costing the planet.

Each noook play® construction set is made of a specially developed engineered hardboard that allows for play, after play, after play. Our hardboard comes from trusted suppliers and sustainable sources, making our products 100% recyclable and largely made of recycled content - with only virgin materials being used to ensure strength in our products, and then only from sustainably managed forests.

Not a single particle of toxic plastic goes into making noook play®. Our products are rigorously tested and meet the highest industry standards - European Standard for Toy Safety–EN71. All our products carry the CE and UKCA quality safety marks.
